Public Space Protection Order (PSPO)

With the recent warm weather, neighbourhood officers have been proactively targeting street drinking within PSPO areas to address anti‑social behaviour and maintain safe public spaces.

Engagement has focused on early intervention, educating individuals on the conditions of the PSPO, and taking proportionate enforcement action where necessary. Alcohol has been seized where appropriate, with repeat offenders dealt with robustly to prevent ongoing issues for residents and businesses.

This work supports community concerns around ASB and reinforces the message that PSPO conditions will be enforced to protect the wider public.

We will continue high‑visibility patrols and work closely with partners to ensure public spaces remain safe and welcoming for everyone.
